We gathered on Monday to celebrate another successful month. Another outstanding group of Hard Workers were recognized for emulating October's trait of SELF CONTROL. We also had several fourth graders share about their trip to Lowell with the rest the rest of the student body. We discussed November's trait of RESPECT and what we can each do to demonstrate it in the coming weeks. The Box Tops trophy was also passed from Mrs. Dagenais's class to Mrs. Dupre's class who had a total of 319 box tops!
Third graders used pumpkins in a variety of ways this week to enforce several skills and concepts. From vocabulary and estimating, to circumference and sink or float, these pumpkins served many purposes! Students also conducted a STEM activity using candy pumpkins and toothpicks to see who could build the tallest tower!
Tuesday was a fun day at the Elementary School. We saw some fun costumes, delicious snack bags, and some awesome jack-o-lantern rocks! A big thanks to the Douglas PTO for their Spooktacular Halloween Luncheon for faculty and staff! Everything was very tasty!
Rockin' Roller Coasters
As part of their current science unit, fourth graders built and tested roller coasters out of everyday materials. They were examining speed and velocity as they attempted to get their marble all the way to the finish.
Social Thinnking BINGO
In this week's Social Thinking classes, students reinforced their skills by playing BINGO!
