Officer Phil Program Visits DES
Thanks to our friends at the Doulas Police Department, the Officer Phil Program visited second and third grade students last week. JT and his friend Turbo put on a great show full of safety reminders, character education, and even a little magic!

March Madness
The first annual March Madness Foul Shooting contest is underway! We started with 42 teams of three a few weeks ago! That's a staggering 126 students and staff members all shooting to try and make it to the Final Four! After two weeks of before school competition, we are down to our Elite Eight! It's all leading up to our Final Four showdown that will take place in front of the whole school at this month's Community Meeting!

 Cereal.....What a Novel Idea
Our fourth graders have just completed their most recent book report. After completing their book, each student was tasked with developing a breakfast cereal based on their book. They even filmed commercials for their cereals to try and "sell" their book to others! We now have some of these great project on display throughout the building!

Our Great State
Third graders spend part of their year learning all about the state of Massachusetts. These quilts really show off all the great things about the state that we call home. In the other pictures, see if you can spot the state of Massachusetts that each student has cleverly "hidden" in their work of art!

If I Had a Hundred Dollars
We recently celebrated our 100th Day of school and Mrs. Babola's students took a few moments to share what they would do with $100 as well as what they would be doing when they turn 100 years old!

Meet the MEOPLE!
Mrs. Auger's and Mr. Checheta's classes created Math People (MEOPLEs) using their recent math skills of multiplying and dividing decimals to make these unique creations.
